We built this because we were tired of looking up IFSC codes from three different places and getting outdated results from half of them.
What This Site Does
IFSCCode.online is a free IFSC code lookup tool covering 1,00,000+ bank branches across India. You can search by bank name, branch name, city, district, state, MICR code, or branch address — seven different entry points, all pointing to the same verified data.
Every search result gives you the IFSC code, MICR code, full branch address, and where available, the phone number. The nearby branch finder uses your GPS to find bank branches within a configurable radius.
Why We Built It
I've lost count of how many times I've needed to find an IFSC code quickly and ended up on a site that was either showing data from 2019 or required me to navigate through four dropdown menus with no idea if the branch I selected was actually the right one.
The core problem with most IFSC tools is that they show the data but not enough context to be confident in it. Is this the right branch? Is the code still valid after the bank merger? What's the actual address so I can confirm?
We wanted a tool that answered all of that in one place: the code, the verification that it's RBI-current, the address so you can cross-check, and the MICR code because sometimes you need that too.
Data Sources and Accuracy
The primary data source is the RBI's master list of bank branches, which is updated when branches open, close, or have their codes changed. We supplement this with real-time lookups through the Razorpay IFSC API for any code that isn't in our local cache — so even newly issued codes are available.
📋 Important: IFSC codes can change when banks merge. We maintain updated records, but for high-value transfers, it's always worth confirming directly with the account holder that the code we show matches what their bank says. We're accurate, but we're not infallible.
